Dead Kings and Queens

I've been at a dinner party where there was a buffet table, and as the main room they had a gigantic churchlike area. The subjects of the party were a king and queen who had been dead for centuries. Everybody was solemnly gathered areound their tombs. A grand priest said some ceremonial words and the queen rose from her eternal sleep. As I mingled with some hipster girls, the queen approached us, long flowing purple robe adorning her. She said something to us, and we listened with a tone of respectful reverence.
We gazed down the ancient marble hallways and watched the king rise from the dead as well. He slowly made his way down the hallway to us, shambling eternally.
